Our community consists of many kind and talented people from all
over the world. This project is constantly growing and we are always on the lookout for fresh ideas and participants.

Currently, we are working hard spreading the word about our book and brainstorming our
next project. If you are interested in getting involved, would like to discuss a possible collaboration/idea, or would simply like to say hello — please do.

    Featured Collaborator - Dan Cassaro
Dan CassaroA designer and illustrator living and working in Brooklyn trying to say big things with
simple words. He has a couple of fun personal things in the works, but actually been getting
some really fun client work lately. He's currently having a blast working on a mural for MTV.

Live Now: How did you hear about Live Now?

It's been a while but I think I found out about the whole story from friends who were already involved in the project.

Live Now: Briefly describe the message and process behind our collaboration pieces?

We worked on two together, you coming up with the words for the first one and me coming up with them for the second. There was a little back and forth but I think we were both on the same page in the end and the pieces came out great. They were sort of like book ends. The first one
"Calm and Collected" was about seeing things from a realistic perspective, the kind of clarity that only comes through going through something rough and ending up on the other side. The second piece, "Make Your Own Kind of Music," was just about unbridled positivity. I wanted to make it feel like singing at the top of your lungs.

Live Now: What inspires your happiness?

Gonna try and not get too hippy dippy on this but I've been realizing more and more how my own mental state effects my ability to do work. If I'm in a bad spot it's really hard to see anything clearly and my work suffers. I have found for myself that following my own happiness in life helps me be happier with my work. That's not the case for everyone though I guess. Some people are inspired by their own misery. Like people who listen to the Smiths.

Why is it important to spread happiness?

Because it's important to rub that stuff in everyone else's faces! Just kidding. Happiness may not be infectious, but it's definitely inspiring. Seeing someone doing what they love has always been the biggest motivator for me.

    Check out Dan's incredible work!
